What is Marquinton?
Marquinton Residences is a home for secret agents. You might think that you've finally gotten your own place, wow, you can be a vlogger now...but, you are wrong. You're supposed to have a comfortable living space amenable to an on-the-go lifestyle.
Secret Agents, Or Modern-Day Ninjas
So what do secret agents do all day? First of all, they get orders from their superiors at DLSU-College of St. Benilde. Their orders are to investigate different "lifestyle" mysteries in the world. They get their marching orders in the form of books from National Bookstore in Robinson's Metro East.
They have different tools in the form of complete Apple (Macintosh) Products. These include: the iPad, the iPhone, and the Macbook. All accessories included.
They even have a nifty Paperang smartphone printer just for keeping evidence in their files (and journals :P)
This might sound familiar to you, but they're really on the job when they start doing research. Yup, they are researchers also. So, if regular college researchers only research things that are approved by the system, these modern-day ninjas go on research trips for topics that are often BANNED and hard to speak of.
If you've ever seen someone at your college or university talking about a really weird research topic that kind of made everyone's mind EXPLODE, that could have been a SECRET AGENT from MARQUINTON.
Research carries on even on their FACEBOOK PAGE, but now that they've all finally been BANNED, they are now blogging on GOOGLE BLOGGER. With no more comments allowed. >:P
They just can't control themselves from talking about BANNED TOPICS! D:<
Sometimes, they need a little SURVEILLANCE from MAGIC COUNTERS to keep their MENTAL HEALTH in check or you will call them DEMON BABIES (in the mall???).
As of now, they have also been banned from places OUTSIDE METRO MANILA. >:P
Only Modernist Y Secret Agents live in Marquinton. Modernist Z Secret Agents (not DEMON BABIES, hopefully) live in Eastwood. Woodstock Secret Agents live in Eastwood also. They need to update their profile right now, k thnx bye.
There are many things they need to research on. These include: 1.) Where the heck do I find toys for my kids? 2.) Where did all the damn children's books go???? and 3.) Why does no one have underwear these days???
They need to split up into groups and investigate all around Metro Manila. You might find them sleuthing about in a thrift store, secretly watching a movie in an abandoned theater, or sampling food in a Chinese grocery.
Sometimes you will see a Japanese or Korean person running around using an English name (instead of their Korean name, or whatever.) Secret Agents use their Filipino name as a code name.
Tammy - Mala
Gotham - Joan
Ichiro - Ichigo
Eri - Erika
What is a Secret Agent on a mission like? If you think it's like a touching Lifetime movie, you are wrong.
This is more like a James Bond more than anything on HBO.
If you've ever seen movies like 21, Ocean's Eleven, or other Bank Heist movies, that's kind of their groove alright.
Missions involve a lot of guesswork: there's no specific goal, just a question. So how do you find the answer? By sheer experimentation and luck, yes.
Somehow, these talented youngsters are able to find their way. Anyhow.
Canon
So you still want to find out what Secret Agents are like in real life.
They're like the Baudelaire siblings in A Series of Unfortunate Events. They're also similar to the other books by Lemony Snicket. Also, it might ring a bell to you if you get reminded by Camp Half-Blood in the Percy Jackson Series.
Also, they really feel the vibes of The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart.
You're probably wishing that they lived a real-life YA novel life, aren't you? >:P
Unfortunately, there's really no guarantee if they are really like Rainbow Rowell's novels. No one can tell. Unless you want to be liable to the time-police, then you might as well be referred to some department in PLMAR. >:P
Why are their lives so exciting, Senpai???
I told you, all the "college life" fantasies are in PLMAR, or your local STATE UNIVERSITY (the National State University is PUP - Polytechnic University of the Philippines, not Homeschool Association of the Philippines or Marquinton.)
Where do they go to school?
For now they are enrolled in Coursera, Saylor, Alison and Futurelearn. And sometimes in EdX also. Read the papers, dummy.
Purity is Creativity.
Just because they are Catholics, they are called Pure. Just because people lost their minds over the definition of "Purity", it'll have to be explained that a person is Creative when in his basic form. All people are basically creative. If you really need to know about "Purity", you should just read "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
You might want to do more research on Purity if you really need to know.
If you need to See, you should go to an Eye Doctor and not an Artist.
Rose-Colored What???
You might have heard the term "Rose-Colored Lenses" before. Yup, they're real life Rose-Colored Boys and Girls. They're hipsters. And they were just born that way.
Another Theory
You have probably heard of ADHD, or Oppositional Defiant Disorder...Secret Agents are actually more along the lines of Indigo Children. Gifted with talents and abilities that seemed to have come from nowhere, they are able to do weird tasks and jobs for society.
When they grow up, you might also call them Call Center Agents for a living.
So now you know who Secret Agents are, deep down inside. So, what are the rules of Marquinton Residences?
Marquinton Rules
1.) Dorms (Or condos) are separated between boys and girls.
Boys live in Barcelona Tower.
Girls live in Cordova Tower.
2.) They all live alone, in their own condo unit. Secret Agents may share rooms during times of crises for comfort.
3.) They may stay at their friend's place given that they message their friend first on Taskade and ask their permission.
4.) If you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend in the other dorm, you should get an Overnight Slip from Marquinton Web and have it signed by a Dorm Manager. This is to be printed out on your Paperang printer.
5.) There are two pairs of Dorm Managers. In Barcelona Tower, the Dorm Managers or Prefects are Keshi and Takasan. In Cordova Tower, the Dorm Managers are Lollipop and J.co.
6.) The third tower, Alicante Tower, is reserved for Experiments and Laboratories. Some of the laboratories are called The Poor Room (An escape mystery similar to North Korea), EGOTalk (Creative English Lessons), The Boy's Art Room (with Sir Manolo and Sir Napoleon Abueva)
7.) You may use the Alicante Tower with permission from the Alicante Managers, Kuya Johnny and The Apostle Vino. You also have to pay a small fee (50 PHP).
The financial inspector is Buli (He runs the Marquinton Economy). Send an email to him every week with a screenshot of your weekly financial report.
Use the app Every Dollar to track your expenses.
Unfortunately, everyone in Marquinton has a fortune of spending money from their parents (The Cheesecakes). It seems like you should just spend as you please (?), but you should really use another budgeting app for your inherited fortune.
Every Dollar then would be for Economic Studies (where you keep to your earned salary) while you would use another budgeting app for everyday spending.
Use DollarBird for your fun-spending.
9.) Check Life Points in a gamified productivity app to aid your new Supra-Living twenties age. Use the SuperBetter app to make sure you live a holistically healthy life. The Health Inspectors are from Group C (Be Like Jesus).
